Bamboo thread/batting

After wearing several pairs of Bamboo socks that got holes in them in 2 wears, i am not convinced that bamboo is a good fibre to work with? Comments please, have you used it alot Penny?

Greetings -

I have not used any bamboo fabric, and just recently bought some bamboo batting. It feels great, but the general question among quilters is how will it hold up over time.

The manufacturers say they have done extensive testing and it will be excellent. There are some quilters who are excited about it as well.

I guess the only way to tell is to use it and see. However, you might not want to experiment with your prize quilt that you spent thousands of hours making. On the other hand, you might not want to use 100% cotton for that quilt either - especially if it has seeds and sticks in it.

Hope that helps!

Happy Quilting!

I have used bamboo for my last couple of quilts and I really like it. At first I wasn't to sure but as I progressed I liked using it. It is not to heavy and does not move or stretch. I also like the Harvest warm. Roylene
