Ask Penny Halgren

Can i make a quilt flannel one side and cotton on the other?

Certainly!

That sounds like a fun idea - you would have one side be all cuddly and warm for the fall and winter, and the other side be a quilt for spring and summer.

Happy Quilting!

I make quilts for a Cancer Hospital and I use flannel on the backs, it gives the child something to cuddle when getting treatment and also it's soft to their tender skin. Hopefully it makes the treatment easier on them.
