Selling a handmade item is never easy and rarely brings the true value of the item.
You may want to try and sell it on Craig's List (the one for your town or nearby city), or possibly on Ebay.
I would definitely set a minimum acceptable bid and not let the bedspread go for a low amount.
Another thought is to check with your local Museum. The Museum in Cincinnati is currently holding an exhibit and is asking for quilts to sell. Their commission will be 40% of the selling price. They are not guaranteeing that all items will be chosen for exhibit or even sold. But it would be a place to start. They may know of other exhibits or quilt sales.
Happy Quilting!
