I would use a low loft batting with some cotton in it.

Using a high loft batting (batting that is fluffy) for machine quilting will only frustrate you. The fluffiness of the batting will make it almost impossible to keep the quilt top and backing lined up to avoid puckers and tucks in your backing.

The cotton helps keep the fabric on your top and backing sticking to the batting. That said, there are plenty of machine quilters who use polyester batting. You will need to do some good basting - or use spray basting - to keep the layers in place as you do your machine quilting.

Happy Quilting!
